Logistics:

1) Request a free survey by e-mail or calling our office. If you require an indicative price e-mail a list of the furniture to be moved and the access at both the collection and delivery addresses.

2) Compare the quotations you receive but please note that our price is fully inclusive for all the services you requested, that boxes are provided free of charge and remember we are BAR members and have been in Cambridge for over 35 years.

3) When you choose us to be your removal firm call/e-mail the office to book the most likely date for your removal on a provisional basis and return your acceptance form.

4) Let us know when you have a definite date and are able to confirm the booking.

Moving:

Moving house is often described as one of the most stressful periods in a person’s life, we believe we are “the solution not the problem”. By providing a clear and easily understood quotation with any extra charges such as packing or storage plainly shown, by taking bookings and keeping in contact with you, the client, helps to reduce stress. We know that dates can change and we will endeavour to accommodate these changes wherever possible. Communications between the client and remover has never been more important, smaller removal contractors inevitably cannot react to these changes as can a more substantial family business like Proctors.

As you may be aware delays on access for delivering do occur; we offer a delay waiver scheme that means you will not have to pay any extra charges for overtime if for whatever reason you are not allowed access to your new home until late in the afternoon of removal day. Details will be included with our quotation.

We try and make this stressful time as survivable as possible hence “the solution not the problem”.

Packing:

The surveyor will discuss all the options with regards to packing, some people are happy to pack themselves, some like to have everything packed; others may just want fragile items packed. We give whichever option you choose on the quotation. Should you use our services the majority of the packing may be done the day before the removal but obviously leaving you with the essentials for your last night in your “old” house.

Our removal price includes provision of sufficient packing boxes and tape which we will deliver ahead of your removal on a mutually convenient date.

Remember if packing yourself, your home will soon fill up with packed boxes and they can, and often are heavy and are best moved by trained removal men.
